Alex was born in Santa Clara, CA, second son of Jayne Kang and Suk Doo Kang. As a kid, he loved reading comic books, playing games with his older brother Bryan and his father, and watching the Food Network.

Jamie was born in South Korea, youngest daughter of three girls of Kelly Han and Seok Kyoon Ahn. She grew up a tomboy who always loved to spend time outside, biking, riding her scooter, and playing in the sandbox. She was unstoppable.

Our first date on a hot summer day in Sacramento, CA. Alex likes to say he drove thousands of miles down the Pacific coastline to meet his future wife. He knew he found the right girl when she said yes to fried chicken and beer after hanging out with him all day. To this day, our favorite activity is still eating fried chicken on a Friday night.

Big Day! Jamie graduated from medical school and geared up to become one of the hardest working residents around. Alex was just there to look pretty.

We made the big move together to Southern California for Jamie's residency, but we left our hearts back home in the Bay Area.

Zoey came home with us, and we became a family of three. Zoey quickly shot up the ranks to become the most important member. What Zoey says, goes.

Our first international trip to Japan, where we quickly learned that food was and always will be more important than any of the tourist sites.

Alex proposed to Jamie on the beach at Carmel (on April Fool's Day no less). FYI, Zoey is there too out of frame. We couldn't have imagined it any other way <3

Our families kindly joined us to celebrate our engagement together.
